16-year-old Student Dies after being Thrown out of School bus
Puttur: A 16-year-old student was killed after he was thrown out of the school bus in which he was travelling at Pundikai, Paduvannur here on November 10.
The deceased has been identified as Gagan Alva (16), son of Padmanabh Alva from Badagannur, Puttur.
According to the complainant Padmanabh, his son Gagan was studying in 10th Std in Gajanan English Medium School Eshwaramangala. Gagan was travelling by the School bus every day. As usual, on November 10, Gagan was travelling back from school by the School bus, at around 1:20 pm at Pundikai when the driver applied sudden brakes, Gagan was thrown out from the bus. Gagan sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.
Since the bus door was not secured properly, Gagan fell out of the bus. The negligence of the school administration in the maintenance of the bus was the main cause of Gagan falling out of the bus.
The Police have registered a case under section 167/18, 279, 304(a) IPC.
