160 Persons Test Positive for Coronavirus in Udupi Dist on July 23
Udupi: According to the district health bulletin, 160 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Udupi District district on July 23, taking the total number of positive cases to 2846.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 994. So far, 1841 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and 12 persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in the district.
As of now, 653 throat swab samples are pending for results, 622 samples were sent for testing on July 23. On July 23, 135 samples were tested negative. So far, a total of 22871 swab samples out of the 26370 have tested negative for the coronavirus.
All the 160 persons are shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.
