167 Persons Test Positive for Coronavirus In DK on July 9
Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, 167 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus, in Dakshina Kannada district on July 9.
Out of the 167 positive cases, 64 persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts. Three persons had returned from the UAE and Qatar and one person had travelled from Bengaluru. Forty-two persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), and six persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI).
The health officials are tracing the contacts of thirty-eight others. The other 13 persons had tested positive during the pre-surgery test.
All the 167 persons have been shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, seven persons were also discharged from the hospital after complete recovery.
