170 Persons Test Positive For Coronavirus in Udupi Dist on August 4
Udupi: According to the district health bulletin, 170 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Udupi on August 4 taking the total number of positive cases in the district to 4970.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 1980. So far, 2948 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and 42 persons have succumbed to COVID-19.
53 persons with symptoms of Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI), Influenza-Like Illness (ILI), and COVID suspects have been admitted to the isolation wards in the district.
As of now, 704 throat swab samples are pending for results, 1700 samples were sent for testing on August 4 and 1352 samples were tested negative. So far, a total of 30526 swab samples out of the 36200 have tested negative for the coronavirus.
