Managaluru: Devdas Kapikad held a press meet at the Press Club, Urwa here on January 2.
Speaking to the mediapersons, Kapikad said, “Tulu movie ‘Chandikori’ is a huge success. The response was so good that we got our investment back in just 52 days. The movie has completed 100 days in the theatres and in Suchitra talkies alone about 68000 people had watched the movie in just 75 days from its release.”
The movie was casted on 13 screens including a show in London where 175 people had turned up. The movie was screened internationally at Bahrain, Kuwait, Dubai and Muscat. “We are planning to screen the movie in Johannesburg once we partner with a theatre there,” Kapikad added.
“To celebrate this achievement, we will organise an entertainment function at the Town Hall on January 4 at 4:30pm,” said Kapikad.
