19-year-old youth Drowns in Tannirbavi beach, another rescued
Mangaluru: A 19-year-old youth drowned at the Tannirbavi beach while he was having fun in the water along with his friends here on March 28.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Safwan (19), from Bondel. Another youth Hafeez was rescued and admitted to the hospital.
According to the police, on March 28, Safwan along with his five friends had visited Tannirbavi beach to have fun. Safwan and Hafeez got into the water and were having fun. While they were enjoying, a strong wave dragged both of them into the deep waters. People in the area managed to rescue Hafeez while Safwan was washed away.
A case has been registered in the Panambur police station.
