21-year-old Youth Drowns in Pond in Bajpe
Mangaluru: A 21-year-old youth drowned in a pond in Arasula Padav, Bajpe here on September 10.
The deceased has been identified as Nishal (21) from Munnur, Thokkottu.
According to sources, on September 10, a group of 8 friends including Nishal went to Arasula Padav Yekkar for swimming in the pond. While they were swimming, Nishal slipped and drowned in the pond.
When all the friends screamed for help, the locals rushed and lifted Nishal out of the pond and rushed him to the hospital in Bajpe where the doctor pronouned him brought dead.
The Bajpe police have registered a case and are investigating.
