21-year-old Youth Rushing to Help Accident Victim Killed by speeding car
Kundapur: In a tragic incident a 21-year-old youth who had gone to help an accident victim, was killed after a speeding car hit him at Basrur here on Monday, January 15 night.
The deceased has been identified as Nithin Poojary (21) son of Sanjeeva and Revathi residents of Bettagara near Basruru.
According to the police On Monday, January 15 an accident occurred between a Car and Bus on the Shivamogga – Kundapur State high way near Nithin’s house. Nithin who heard the sound of the accident rushed along with his friend Anil to help the accident victims. While they were running to the spot a speeding car coming from Kundapur hit both of them.
On impact, Nithin was thrown to the nearby field and his head hit the stone. Immediately both were rushed to a private hospital in Manipal. On Tuesday morning Nithin breathed his last without responding to treatment.
Nithin was the third year BCA degree course student at Bhandarkar’s College.
A case has been registered in Kundapur traffic police station.
