213 Persons Test Positive For Coronavirus in Udupi Dist on July 31
Udupi: According to the district health bulletin, 213 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Udupi on July 31 taking the total number of positive cases to 4356.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 1805. So far, 2522 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and 29 persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in the district.
As many as 40 persons with symptoms of Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI), Influenza-Like Illness (ILI), and COVID suspects have been admitted to the isolation wards in the district.
As of now, 562 throat swab samples are pending for results, 621 samples were sent for testing on July 31 and 455 samples were tested negative. So far, a total of 26747 swab samples out of the 31665 have tested negative for the coronavirus.
