22-year-old Depressed youth commits suicide on railway track
Udupi: A Depressed youth allegedly committed suicide by laying himself on the railway track at Indrali Bridge near the Railway station on August 11. The incident came to light on Saturday, August 12.
The deceased has been identified as Prathik Kumar (22) resident of Nittur.
According to the Police sources, Prathik was working in a private firm. On Friday he completed his work and left the office but did not reach home. Family members started to search for Prathik, on Saturday his body was found on the Railway track. Police suspect that Prathik may have committed suicide owing to depression. The Police recovered a death note in which it is stated that he was depressed.
A case has been registered in Manipal Police Station.
