225 Persons Test Positive For Coronavirus in Udupi Dist on July 27
Udupi: According to the district health bulletin, 225 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Udupi on July 27, taking the total number of positive cases to 3613.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 1415. So far, 2184 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and 16 persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in the district.
As many as 42 persons with symptoms of Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI), Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) and COVID suspects have been admitted to the isolation wards in the district.
As of now, 276 throat swab samples are pending for results, 223 samples were sent for testing on July 27. On July 27, 286 samples were tested negative. So far, a total of 24621 swab samples out of the 28510 have tested negative for the coronavirus.
