23-year-old Youth washed away at Padubidri beach, feared dead
Udupi: A 23-year-old youth was washed away by strong waves and is feared dead while he was fishing in the sea at Padubidri here on Sunday, April 9.
The missing youth has been identified as Prajwal Shetty (23) a resident of Nadipatna near Padubidri.
According to the police, Prajwal was working in a jewellery Shop. On Sunday since it was a holiday, in the afternoon Prajwal along with his neighbour had gone to Padubidiri beach for fishing. Both started to fish using the net, while they were fishing, Prajwal was dragged away into the sea by strong waves. Immediately the beach rescue team arrived to the spot and search is on for Prajwal.
A case has been registered in the Padubidri Police Station.
