26-year-old Prasanna Shetty Killed in Bike-Bus Collision at Masthikatte
Kundapur: A 26-year-old youth was killed and the pillion rider injured when a private bus hit a two-wheeler at Masthikatte here on July 9.
The deceased has been identified as Prasanna Shetty (26) a resident of Edooru near Kundapur. The injured Pillion rider Arpitha Shetty (23) a resident of Ajri, Siddapur has been admitted to the Manipal Hospital. Both were on the way to Kundapur.
According to the police, both were travelling to Kundapur on the two-wheeler when a private bus on the way to Tirupati hit the two-wheeler. Prasanna Shetty who was thrown to the ground sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot. Severely injured Arpitha Shetty has been shifted to the KMC hospital Manipal.
Prasanna Shetty was working in the Gulf and had recently come down to attend for his brother’s funeral.
Amasebailu Police have registered a case and are investigating.
