28-year-old Youth Dies of Electrocution in Ullal
Mangaluru: A 28-year-old youth died after he accidentally came into contact with the high tension live wire which was lying on the ground during the heavy rains at Dharmarasa, Uliya Ullal on August 16 late night.
The deceased has been identified as Ashok D’Souza (28) from Ullal.
According to sources, on August 16, due to heavy rain and winds, a high tension wire had snapped and fallen on the ground. Locals said that negligence by MESCOM officials in disconnecting the power supply led to Ashok’s death.
Locals have demanded a thorough investigation against the MESCOM officials and provide justice to the family.
