31-year-old man Arrested under POCSO for Sexual Assault on Minor Boy
Mangaluru: A 31-year-old man was arrested by the Vittal police in connection with the sexual assault on a minor boy at Kanyana here on February 5.
The arrested has been identified as Suresh Prabhu (31) from Kanyana Vittal.
According to the police, on February 1, at around 1:00 pm, the boy was on his way home after school. As the boy was passing in front of the school, Suresh called the boy and said that he wanted to talk to him and took him to the school toilet where he sexually assaulted the boy.
The boy informed his mother about being sexually assaulted by Suresh Prabhu. The victim’s mother filed a complaint in the Vittal police station. Based on the complaint the police have registered a case under section 341, 377, 506 IPC and POCSO act 4.
The Vittal police have arrested the accused and further investigation is on.
