32-year-old man found dead in Hiriyadka, murder suspected
Udupi: A 32-year-old man was found dead in a forested area of Madaga near Hiriyadka here, on July 14.
The deceased has been identified as Sheikh Mohammed Tasleen (32), a resident of Hoode near Kemmannu.
The incident came to light in the evening on July 14. Fingerprint experts and canine squad reached the spot for further investigation. It is suspected that Tasleem was murdered.
The police have recovered a black Volkswagen car, bearing registration number KA 20 Z 9435, 300 meters from the crime scene. The deceased has sustained injuries on the neck. The murder weapon is said to be a hockey stick which has been recovered by the police from the crime scene. The police suspect that the deceased was murdered in some other place and his body was then thrown here.Tasleen was working in Manipal.
DySP Kumarswamy, CPI Girish and CPI Arunkumar visited the crime scene for further investigation. A case has been registered in the Hiriyadka Police Station.
