352 Persons Test Positive and 7 Die of COVID-19 in DK on Sept 1
Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, 352 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus and 7 persons have died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on September 1.
So far 13065 positive cases have been reported in the district and 375 of them have died of the disease. At present, there are 2538 active cases in the district.
Out of the 352 positive cases, 51 persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts, 136 persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), 17 persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The health officials are tracing the contacts of 148 others.
Out of the 352 cases tested positive, 165 persons are from Mangaluru, 87 from Bantwal, 42 from Puttur, 19 from Sullia, 25 from Belthangady and 14 from other districts.
Meanwhile, 363 persons were also discharged from the hospital and COVID Care Centres after complete recovery.
