39-year-old Man dies in Hospital after Developing Chest Pain at Bajpe Station
Mangaluru: A 39-year-old man died in the hospital after he developed chest pain at Bajpe police station here on June 4.
The deceased has been identified as Melwyn John (39), a resident of Balpugudde Kavoor.
According to the police, on June 4 at around 10:30 pm the Bajpe police received a telephone call from the residents of Maravoor that four persons including a woman were consuming alcohol near the Maravoor Dam. Immediately the Bajpe police reached the spot for investigations. The Locals also gathered at the spot. The Bajpe police took all the four to the police station for questioning. The brother of the girl also reached to the police station.
While the Bajpe police were taking the statement from them, at around 11:20 pm, Melwyn developed chest pain and was immediately rushed to the A J Hospital. At 11:45 pm Melwyn breathed his last in the hospital.
Melwyn’s brother Lawrence has also filed a case in the Bajpe police station asking the reason for Melwyn’s death. Lawrence also revealed that four years ago, Melwyn had heart issues and was treated at the KMC Hospital. The Bajpe police have also submitted a letter to the Magistrate for an inquiry in this matter.
