428 Persons Test Positive and 7 Die of COVID-19 in DK on Sept 4
Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, 428 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus and 7 persons have died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on September 4.
Out of the 428 positive cases, 41 persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts, 197 persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), 22 persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The health officials are tracing the contacts of 168 others.
Out of the 428 cases tested positive, 222 persons are from Mangaluru, 61 from Bantwal,54 from Puttur, 45 from Sullia, 28 from Belthangady and 18 from other districts.
Meanwhile, 222 persons were also discharged from the hospital and COVID Care Centres after complete recovery.
So far 14223 positive cases have been reported in the district and 391 of them have died of the disease. At present, there are 2904 active cases in the district.
