65-year-woman Dies in Road Mishap at Bikkarnakatta
Mangaluru: An elderly woman died on the spot after she was hit by a moving bus in front of the entrance of Infant Jesus Shrine, Bikkarnakatta here on November 2.
The deceased has been identified as Lilly Pinto (65), wife of Stany Pinto, a resident of Kulshekar.
According to the police, on November 2, Lilly Pinto had gone for Infant Jesus Shrine to attend the Thursday Novena. After attending the mass she was crossing the road to board the bus. While she was crossing, a bus (Ambika) passing by hit her killing her on the spot.
Kadri Traffic Police reached the spot and shifted the body to the mortuary for post-mortem.
A case has been registered in Kadri Police station.
