8-year-old Boy Dies in Lift Accident at Chilimbi
Mangaluru: A 8-year-old boy died after being stuck in the lift in an apartment at Chilimbi on March 27.
The deceased has been identified as Manjunath (8), son of Nilappa Manjunath, a native of Hunaganda Bagalkote.
According to police, Nilappa Manjunath was working as a watchman in Bharati Heights, Chilimbi. His son Manjunath was studying in the second standard in Canara Higher Primary School Urwa.
On March 27, Manjunath entered the lift and without closing the door properly operated the lift which led to tragedy.
The Urwa police rushed to the spot for investigation. The body has been sent to a private hospital for post-mortem.
A case has been registered in the Urwa Police station.
