83-year-old Temple Priest Dies in Road Mishap at Uchila
Udupi: A 83-year-old temple priest died after a car hit his two-wheeler on NH 66 near Uchila on Sunday, August 23.
The deceased has been identified as Krishna Bhat (83). He was the religious priest at the Mahalingeshwara Temple in Uchila.
According to the police, a KWID car which was coming from Mangaluru to Udupi hit Krishna Bhat’s two-wheeler from the back. In the incident, Krishna Bhat was thrown to the ground and was severely injured. Bhat was rushed to the hospital, but he breathed his last without responding to treatment.
A case has been registered in the Padubidri police station, and investigation is on.
