9-yr old Kundapur Girl Lipika Shetty Wins ‘Little Miss Asia 2017’

9-yr old Kundapur Girl Lipika Shetty Wins ‘Little Miss Asia 2017’ Title in Antalia-Turkey

Mangaluru: Kundapur girl Lipika Shetty was crowned the ‘Little Miss Asia 2017’ at International Festival Model and Talent contest held at Antalia in Turkey recently. Hailing from Gopady in Kundapur Lipika has bagged this title after competing against the contestants from twenty countries.

Daughter of Vittal Shetty and Sanchi Shetty, residents of Andheri (East) in Mumbai, Lipika was chosen after a stiff competition, between participants from 20 countries, to name a few- USA, Turkey, USA, Kenya, Albania. Ukraine, Portugal, Romania, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Romania and other countries- but in the finals Lipika outclassed the rest to be the winner due to her charm and talents. The Nine year old girl is studying in fourth standard at Billabong High International School, Mumbai. By winning this Lipika has gained direct entry into ‘Little Miss Planet’ contest to be held at Bulgaria from June 15 to 22, 2017. She has been training at the Dance Academy run by Bollywood choreographer Shiamak Davar.

Prior to her being selected for the finals in Turkey, Lipika had taken part in various Auditions held in Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru and Vishakpatanam. Online auditions were also held in Hyderabad. Among all the participants, Lipika Shetty was selected among the last three participants, the other two being Kashish Mukhiya and Niveditha Mogaratti,

Festival Model & Talent World is an event held annually to promote cultural and aesthetic education of children and teenagers, to open their best qualities, to show traditions and culture of their countries to look at the world more globally, without political views. The festival gives the chance to delegates from different countries to unite in one family without ethnic borders and creates friendship and mutual understanding atmosphere between delegates and visitors of the festival.
