Police Seize 75 Two-wheelers Without Number Plate

Mangaluru: In a special drive the City police seized 75 two-wheelers running without number plates on September 4.

Police Commissioner Dr Harsha in his tweet has stated, “We have done a special drive against vehicles without number plates.. total 75 vehicles seized, & fined. Vehicles without number plates are assumed as to be used for illegal activities, we will continue this drive .. appeal to put proper number plates to avoid inconvenience”.

There are a number of vehicles running in the city without number plates. There are possibilities of vehicles without number plates being used to commit crime.

Under the direction of Police commissioner Dr Harsha and under the guidance of DCP law and order Arunagshu and DCP Crime and Traffic Lakshmi Ganesh, on September 4, in a special drive, the Mangaluru City police seized 75 two-wheelers without running without number plates.

Police Commissioner Harsha has also said that the drive will continue and all vehicles without number plates will be seized.

The Police have advised all not to run vehicles without proper number plates as it is a crime under the law. Police have also requested the general public to use temporary number plates for their newly purchased vehicles until they get the permanent number plate.
