Accused Aditya Rao handed Over to Mangaluru Police in Bengaluru

Bengaluru:  The accused who placed the explosive device near the ticket counter at the Mangalore International airport was handed over to the Mangaluru police by the Bengaluru police here on January 22.

On January 20, Aditya Rao had come by auto to the Airport at Kenjar and placed an explosive device at the ticket counter.  On January 22, Aditya came to the Director-General of Police (DGP) office in Bengaluru and surrendered.

The ACP of Mangaluru North Belliyappa along with his team reached Bengaluru on January 22, to take the accused Aditya Rao into their Custody at the Halasuru Gate police station.

Bengaluru police had taken the accused Aditya to the Ramaiah hospital for medical check-up before handing him over to the Mangaluru police.

The Bengaluru police thought of handing over  Aditya to the Mangaluru police at the Kempegowda airport but for security reasons the Bengaluru police have handed him to the Mangaluru police at the Halasuru Gate police station.

The accused will be brought to Mangaluru through Kempe Gowda airport.  He will be produced before the court and taken to police custody for further investigations.
