If action will not be taken against Sand Mafia, I will get into Street – Palemar

Mangaluru: In the district, development work has come to a standstill. The sand mafia is rampant in the district. If we complain to the concerned authorities, we receive life threats from the sand mafia. The concerned authorities are not taking any action against illegal sand mining”, said the former minister in-charge, Krishna J Palemar at a press meet held at the press club Urwa, here on November 30.

Addressing the mediapersons Palemar said that the development works are also not taken up by the MCC whatever work has been done was approved during the BJP rule. Due to problems in getting sand, development projects have been stopped. From past three months, there is no president for the Mangaluru Urban development authority (MUDA). When BJP was in power the development work was being carried out without any delay.

Palemar further said, “The district administration and the police department should take strict action against illegal sand mining. If no action will be taken against those who are involved in illegal sand mining we will get down to the streets and fight”, warned Palemar.
