Actor Prakash Rai Defamation Case, MP Pratap Simha in Police Custody
Bengaluru: The Special court has handed over MP Pratap Simha to the police in the defamation case filed by actor Prakash Rai on March 8.
Last year Actor Prakash Rai had filed a defamation case against MP Pratap Simha in the court. The order was issued to MP Pratap on January 21 to appear before the court, but MP Pratap failed to appear before the court on February 23. The court ordered the Mysuru police commissioner to produce MP Pratap before the court by March 19.
On March 8, MP Pratap Simha appeared before the court and the case was heard by Judge B V Patil. MP Pratap Simha was later handed over to the Police.
Prakash Rai had filed a defamation suit against MP Pratap for violating his privacy.
