ADC Kumara Awarded PhD from Kuvempu University

Mangaluru: Additional Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada Kumara KAS has been awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the Kuvempu University in Sociology.

ADC Kumara is awarded PhD for his thesis on an interesting and emerging topic entitled “The Role of E-Governance in the Modernization of Land Records: A Sociological Study in Karnataka.

This thesis was prepared and submitted under the guidance of Dr Gurulingaiha, Professor in Kuvempu University.

Kumara’s staff highly appreciates his style of functioning and considers him as a cool and humble person. He, on his part, says his motto is to provide transparent and efficient administration.

A KAS officer of 2005 batch, Kumar hails from Hassan and has an MA and B.Ed degree to his credit. He even taught in Gundlupete PU College in Chamarajanagar district before appearing from KAS exams.

His first posting was as Assistant Commissioner in Indi revenue subdivision of Bijapur taluk. He later served as AC of Tumkur for 3 years and ADC of Udupi district for four years before being posted in Mangaluru as Additional DC.
