Ajman: Top Ministry of Health UAE officials visit Gulf Medical University

Ajman: Dr Mohamed Salim al Olama, Under Secretary Ministry of Health UAE along with Dr Yousif Al Serkal, Assistant Undersecretary for Hospital Sectors and Dr Khalil I Qayed, Training and Development Consultant – Support Services Sector visited Gulf medical University at the personal invitation of Thumbay Moideen, Founder President, Board of Governors, Gulf Medical University. They were appraised of the latest developments at the university and taken on a tour of the campus.

Dr Olama was appraised about the institution and was taken on a tour of the facility by Prof. Gita Ashok Raj, Provost and Academic leadership of the university. The undersecretary saw the Center for Advanced Biomedical Research and Innovation and the Center for Advanced Simulation in Healthcare. He commended the high quality research work and training programs being undertaken at the university. He was highly impressed with the latest assessment and evaluation standards adopted by the university. He mentioned that ‘I am pleased to know that students from over 74 countries study at the university, which reflects global standards of education and training’.

“The university has taken great strides and has become one of the top medical institutions in the private sector in the region”, said Dr Olama.

The undersecretary praised Thumbay Moideen for his dedication and the exemplary services he has been doing in the field of Medical Education, Healthcare and Research and assured all possible help in the university activities.

Thumbay Moideen thanked Dr Mohamed Salim al Olama for his visit and assured of the institution’s commitment to high standards of education, training, research and healthcare services in line with the vision of the Rulers of the country and the Ministry of Health UAE.
