Alva’s College emerged Winners in St. Joseph All India Badminton Tournament champions
Moodubidri: Alva’s Men Ball Badminton team has declared as share winners in the 11th St. Joseph All India Badminton Tournament held at Chennai recently. The tournament witnessed the participation of 24 teams and matches were conducted on the basis of league cum super league category. In the tournament, Alva’s College beat Pioneer Sports Club-Kerala, SBCC-Erode, TBCC Tindivanam, J.J Boys Chengalpattu, Canara Bank Bangalore and St. Joseph’s ‘B’ Chennai teams.
In the course of the tournament, heavy rain abandoned the remaining matches from happening. The Organizers has declared the top 6 teams as joint winners. Alva’s Men Badminton Team has shared a cash prize of Rs. 1.25 lakhs with other teams by scoring 11 points out of 6 matches.
Alva’s Education Foundation Chairman Dr. M Mohan Alva and Trustee Vivek Alva have congratulated the students.
