Mangaluru: Yet Another STAR is BORN in Hotel Industry, when Ocean Pearl Inn Opened today-11 September in the heart of the city at Bejai-Kapikad, Mangaluru. This morning, 11 September the religious pooja was undertaken by Sri Prasad Tantry of Jarkala, where the management folks of the Hotel joined in the ceremony. Following the pooja, the Hotel was blessed and inaugurated by Archaka Vasudeva Asranna-Trustee/Head of Kateel Guraparameshwari Temple, Catholic Priest Fr Robert D’souza- Principal of Lourdes Central School, and Clergy a Sr Francis Xavier Church-Bejai, Mangaluru; and Imam Sadakathulla Faizi- Zeenath Baksh Juma Masjid, Bunder-Mangaluru. Bishop Dr J S Sadanand of CSI Church, Balmatta, Mangaluru, and Raghavendra Shastry -the Trustee and Head of Sharavu Temple, Mangaluru also joined in the blessing and inauguration ceremony, along with B N Girish -the Vice President of Ocean Pearl corporate; K Prasanna – the promoter of Hotel Ocean Pearl Inn, Milan Samuel-the General Manager at OP Inn, Shivkumar -G M OP Corporate, among others.

“Our hotels don’t believe in star grading, because having a 5 or 4 star doesn’t serve customer satisfaction- the only reason Ocean Pearl corporate doesn’t care about looking for a 5 or 4 star standard is only for the fact when we switch to Star standard, then our customer have to shell out more money on taxes, and we don’t want to follow the rules and regulations once you get hooked on to Star category. But we have all the best facilities and standards like those of 4 or 5-star hotels, so our customers don’t feel any difference, whether they stay at a star hotel or stay at any one of our properties. Executive Chef at Hotel Ocean Pearl Inn, Bamba speaking to Team Mangalorean said, “I have been in the hotel industry in India and also in South Africa, Italy and few other countries since decades. I started as an Ocean Pearl Corporate Chef at Hotel Ocean Pearl at Kodialbail, Mangaluru in 2010, and now I will be managing the Pan Asian restaurant for few months until everything is in completely to the standards. We have around 45-50 staff working in the kitchen/restaurant, and Executive Sous- chef Arun Giri, who has vast culinary experience being with Mahindra Group of Hotels, will be at the helm of Indian, Continental etc cuisine.
