Armed Men on Bike Open Fire at Cloth Store in Car Street
Mangaluru: Armed men who came on a motorbike opened fire at M Sanjeeva Shetty Cloth stores in Car Street here on December 8.
According to sources, unidentified armed men came on a motorbike an opened fire at the cloth store. After committing the crime they fled from the spot.
The armed men wore Jackets with cap and shot at Mahalinga Naik (40).
They came as customers to M Sanjeev Shetty Cloth Stores and asked for a T-shirt. Mahalinga said that it was time to close the shop and asked them to come the next day. When Mahalinga Naik was closing the door, one of the armed men open fire at Mahalinga and fled from the spot.
At the time of the incident, there were three persons in the shop including the owner Sanjeeva Shetty.
Immediately after the incident, the police were informed. Police Commissioner T R Suresh, DCP Law and Order Hanumantharaya, DCP Crime and Traffic Uma Prashanth, ACP Uday Nayak, ACP Manjunath Shetty and Bunder police inspector Shantharam Kunder reached the spot for further investigations.
