Arrest Culprits for Defaming Poster of Pejwar Swamiji – Udaykumar Shetty

Udupi: K Udayakumar Shetty state executive member of BJP Karnataka on Wednesday, November 29, demanded the police department to take strict action and immediately arrest those who have insulted Pejwar Sri Vishvesha Theertha Swamiji by stamping on a poster with his image disrespecting him and, purportedly uploaded it in the social media.

K Udayakumar Shetty speaking at a press meet held at the Udupi press club said that Pejawar Swamiji has taken the leadership of the Dharma Sansad and had completed it successfully. The Dharma Sansad and the Hindu Samajotsava which was organised under the leadership of Pejawar Swamiji and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad evoked a good response. Since some crooked minded people were not able to digest the success of the Dharma Sansad, they have started to defame Pejawar Swamiji, he added.

Uday Kumar Shetty expressed dissatisfaction over Chandrasekhar Patil’s appeal to the people to vote for a secular national party during the inauguration of the Akhila Bharat Sahitya Sammelana. Sahitya Sammelana is meant to discuss issues pertaining to land, language and culture, it should not have been “misused” for setting political agenda.

The Congress government ministers are involved in many cases and the chief minister is supporting them. We are demanding the resignation of ministers K J George and Vinay Kulkarni over their alleged role in the death of Dy SP MK Ganapathy and BJP activist and Dharwad ZP member Yogesh Gowda. The Congress government has been making efforts to hush up the alleged murder case to save Kulkarni, and the police have been putting pressure on the family of the deceased to withdraw the case. He blamed the government for systematically trying to destroy evidence in both the cases.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is trying to divide the Lingayat community. He is trying to gain Lingayat votes by dividing the community. But people of Karnataka will teach him a lesson in the coming assembly elections, he added.

Vijay Bhat, Rikesh Palan and Saleem Ambagilu were present in the press meet.
