Author Reshel Bretny Fernandes Recognised by Authors of India for ‘Surajya: A Good Governance Wheel of Democracy’
Mangalore: Reshel Bretny Fernandes, an accomplished author, orator, and Kittur Rani Chennamma awardee, has received recognition from Authors of India for her book, “Surajya: A Good Governance Wheel of Democracy.” This honour coincides with the commemoration of the birth anniversary of the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former Prime Minister of India. Ms Fernandes, also a member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), boasts a prolific writing career with five published books to her name, including the highly regarded “Bharat at 2047: Role of Youth.”
Ms Fernandes’s work has garnered both national and international acclaim, earning her accolades and features in prominent magazines worldwide. “Bharat at 2047: Role of Youth” has received commendation from the Prime Minister of India’s office, highlighting its significance in understanding the role of young people in shaping India’s future. Recently, the literary publication “Literature Today” lauded Ms Fernandes’s work, featuring her as the “Young Voice of India” in its magazine, dedicating pages 22 and 23 to her accomplishments.
“Surajya,” the book now recognised by the Authors of India, focuses on the critical theme of good governance as a cornerstone of Indian democracy. The book features a foreword from Shri Anil K. Anthony, National Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party, who commended Ms Fernandes for her insightful work and its potential to inspire the younger generation. Shri Anthony’s words underscore the book’s importance in fostering a deeper understanding of governance principles among India’s youth.
In addition to her literary pursuits, Ms Fernandes is actively involved in several organisations, including Disha Bharat, Samartha Bharat, and the Thinkers Forum, demonstrating her commitment to contributing to India’s intellectual and societal discourse.
