Auto Biography on Janardhan Poojary ‘Sala Melada Sangrama’ to be Released on Jan 26
Mangaluru: “An autobiography on my life with the title ‘Sala Melada Sangrama’ will be released on January 26. The book will contain my childhood days, the challenges faced during my student life, my experience as an advocate and the lessons learnt in professional life. I have not hurt anyone through my writings but I have mentioned all the facts in life which may get hurt some after reading the book. Whatever is written in the books are the facts”, said senior Congress leader Janardhan Poojary in a press meet held at the Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra, Kudroli here on January 22.
Addressing the mediapersons Janardhan Poojary said, “My entry to the politics, Former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s call for me to join politics. my growth and challenges I have faced after joining politics etc have all been written in the book. My intention is not to hurt anyone but I have not compromised with the facts. I have openly mentioned my experiences in life in the book.”
Janardhan Poojary further said, “I have mentioned the ups and downs in politics while working with former prime ministers Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and Narasimha Rao. When I was the finance minister I had started the bank loan scheme and faced a lot of hurdles during the distribution of the loan. The life threats I had faced during the distribution of loan is all penned down in my autobiography.”
Poojary also said, “I have written the history of Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra, Kudroli founded Bharmashree Narayana Guru. The social reforms brought in the temple, revolutionary changes in the Temple by cleaning the feets of Dalit Women. Santhosh Kumar and Deepak Poojary are the publishers of ‘Sala Melada Sangrama’. The cost will be very less for the book so that everybody can afford to buy it. I want everyone to buy the book and read it. I have also mentioned about the advise I have given to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and I have said that we want Siddaramaiah to be the CM for 20 more years. But he did not listen to my advice. I have mentioned about Veerappa Moily and the Chikkamagaluru election campaign. After the release, I will go to Delhi and handover a copy of the book to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.”
“We have invited Dr Veerendra Heggade to release the book but due to some other programme, Dr Veerendra Heggade will not be able to attend the release progamme. So I have myself decided to release my autobiography on January 26 at 5:30 pm at the Santhoshi Kala Mantap, Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra, Kudroli”, said Poojary.
Vijay Kumar Shetty, Harikrishna Bantwal, Advocate Padmaraj, H S Suvarna, Dr Anasuya, B T Salian, Devadas Kattemar, Shekar Poojary, B G Suvarna, H S Sairam, Madhava Suvarna and others were also present.
