Hannover, Dec 19 (IANS) Bayern Munich head coach Pep Guardiola has denied a confrontation with the football club doctor Volker Braun, whom he had allegedly thrown out of his office following the game against Darmstadt after a discussion on the epidemic of injuries affecting the team.

Guardiola on Friday said at the press conference prior to the Bundesliga match on Saturday against Hannover 96, that he has always tried to be a nice person and had never dismissed anyone from his office, reports Efe.

According to the Kicker magazine, after Tuesday’s game in the DFB-Pokal against Darmstadt, Guardiola reportedly accused Braun of being responsible for the run of injuries.

The Spanish tactician insisted that Kicker’s information is false, referring to the magazine that circulated this version of the confrontation with Braun.

Braun in return, accused Guardiola of being at fault because he returned players to training and competition earlier than recommended by doctors, to which the coach reacted by booting him out of the office, according to the report from Kicker.
