BBM Student from Srinivas College Drowns in Netravati River
Mangaluru: A 22-year-old student from Srinivas College drowned in the Netravati River here on September 5.
The deceased has been identified as Rajanikanth (22), a resident of Nanthur, Mangaluru. He was a second year BBM student at Srinivas College.
According to sources, on September 5, Rajanikanth along with his friends had gone to B C Road to swim in the Netravati River. Without knowing the depth of the water, Rajanikanth got into the water to swim and drowned. Other friends who had accompanied him informed the police.
The Bantwal Town PI Nanda Kumar reached the spot and shifted the body to the Bantwal Government Hospital for post-mortem.
A case has been registered in the Bantwal Town police station.
