Belagavi Girl Scoring 92% in SSLC Didn’t Survive to Celebrate!

Belagavi: Dr Vinoba Golbavi and Lakshmi Golbavi from here had high dreams for their daughter Aishwarya. She too responded well by concentrating on her studies for the SSLC examinations held earlier this year.

As the examinations got over on April 13, she had great relief. So did the parents. But perhaps it was short-lived. On the very next day, she had symptoms of dengue. She was immediately admitted to a hospital in Belagavi.

The father, as a doctor, ensured that she got the best attention. Yet she succumbed to the fever on April 15. A month later, as the SSLC results were announced on Tuesday, May 16, the parents had mixed feelings.

One the one hand, they had not yet recovered from the loss of their daughter. On the other, they could not help being happy that her efforts had borne fruit – to the extent of securing 92% marks. She did not, sadly, survive to celebrate her success, though.

Lakshmi was graceful enough to visit Vanita School, where Aishwarya had studied and distributed sweets to the teachers and her classmates to thank them. It touched everybody’s hearts and brought tears in their eyes.

It needs a lot of moral fibre to do so, felt those who were present.
