Beltangady: A group of 36 persons led by Bishops Sudarshana Devadhar, Warner H Brown Jr and Sandra L Steiner Ball of the United Methodist Church, USA, paid a visit to Dharmasthala on Monday.
They called on Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade and gathered information of the activities taking place in the Kshetra. Dr Heggade enlightened them on the unique systems of dispensation of justice, ‘Hoilu’ system of decisions, oaths, ‘charurvidha daana’ tradition and other details.
The team went around the temple, rural development programme premises, car museum, Shantivana, common dormitory and other sections and appreciated the style of functioning and the service motive of the Kshetra.
Dr Heggade traditionally honoured all the three bishops.
