‘Bequest’ and ‘Innovision’: Inter-Collegiate National Fest 2017 at Besant College

Mangaluru: Besant Evening College winners and Paduva College of Commerce & Management, Nanthoor, Mangaluru, Runners at Bequest UG Fest 2017 while Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT) and S.D.M. P.G. Centre have emerged as winners and runners respectively at the Innovision – 2017 PG Fest.

The two-day intercollegiate fest inaugurated on 14th September concluded on Friday.A total of 30 colleges participated in different events under the theme VASUDAIVA KUTUMBAKAM– unity in diversity. Shyam Sundar Kamath, Secretary of WNES gave away the trophies to the winners and certificates were given to all the participants during the valedictory ceremony.T.G. Shankar Narayan Bhat was the guest of honour.

The event was inaugurated by Adhyaksha of Ramakrishna Muth, Swami Jitakamanandaji, inaugurating the event said, Vasudaiva Kutumbakam is the concept the ancient has given the world. India is the miniature world. All cultures have come together in forming a vibrant unity in India. Earlier the next generation develops the social-cultural and spiritual maturity by extending the self beyond the imaginary boundaries of relation, caste, culture, creed and countries better are the opportunities for establishing world peace, he opined.

Kudpi Jagadeesh Shenoy, President, W.N.E.S, said, this student’s Fest aimed at developing a fellow feeling among the students, the young citizens of this part right now for a better life tomorrow. Devenanda Pai, Correspondent wished well to the participant teams. Dr Sathish Kumar Shetty welcomed earlier. Dr. Meenakshi K., student welfare officer proposed the vote of thanks.
