Biggest Single-day Spike of 281 Coronavirus cases in Udupi on July 22
Udupi: The Udupi district has recorded the highest single-day spike of 281 positive coronavirus cases on July 22, taking the total number of positive cases to 2686.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 899. So far, 1776 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and 11 persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in the district.
As of now, 467 throat swab samples are pending for results, 402 samples were sent for testing on July 22. On July 22, 135 samples have tested negative. As of now, a total of 22595 swab samples out of the 25748 have tested negative for the coronavirus.
All the 84 persons are shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.
