BJP Manifesto is Cut and Paste Copy of 2014 – MLA U T Khader

Mangaluru: “The Congress Manifesto has schemes that will benefit people. The BJP Manifesto wants to divide the people and come to power. This year’s Manifesto is a cut and paste copy of last time’s Manifesto. Have they done any useful work for the benefit of the people in the last five years? In their Manifesto, there is no trace of their performance in the last five years. They said that they would cancel Article 370, implement Uniform Civil Code, bring black money from outside, bring Dawood Ibrahim back, and teach Pakistan a lesson. The people of this district must ask themselves before they vote, has the BJP fulfilled any of these promises?” said Congress MLA U T Khader in a press meet held at the DCC office, Mallikatta here, on April 11.

Addressing the mediapersons U T Khader said, “The BJP was against GST, Aadhar Card, and FDI. As soon as they came to power, they wanted to implement all of these things. In the Congress Manifesto, the NYAY scheme gives Rs 6000 per month to poor families. UPA 1 and 2 told the people that getting a job is their right and implemented MNREGA. This project forced Panchayat members to give people jobs. Congress has also promised 33% reservation for women in Government.”

He further said, “The Congress has not done any election “jumla”. Whatever the Congress promises, the Congress will deliver. This election is an election involving MP candidates. It is not an election involving Prime Ministerial Candidates. When people go to the polling booth, they won’t find PM’s name but they will only find the MP candidate’s name.”

Congress MLC Harish Kumar, Former minister Abhaychandra Jain and other District Congress leaders were also present.
