Brother Stabs Sister for Refusing to give Money
Kundapur: A brother stabbed his own sister a few days back for refusing to give him money when he demanded. The Victim succumbed to her injuries in the government hospital Udupi on Saturday, July 28.
The deceased has been identified as Vijaya Bhandary (50) a resident of Kundapur. The accused her Brother Annappa Bhandary has been arrested by the police.
Annappa was running a saloon at Sangam near Kundapur but was not going to work regularly. He was constantly harassing his sister Vijaya for money.
On July 22 Annappa had allegedly threatened to kill his sister Vijaya demanding Gold and money. When she refused, he stabbed her in the shoulder and back with a knife he found nearby.
The locals immediately rushed Vijaya to the nearby hospital where she received emergency treatment and was later shifted to the Government Hospital in Udupi. Vijaya breathed her last on Saturday without responding to the treatment.
Kundapur Police have registered a case and investigation is on.
