Calling CM Siddaramaiah Fool is Foolishness of Yeddyurappa – Ramanath Rai

Mangaluru: The BJP Parivarthana Yatra has reached Dakshina Kannada district. During an interview to a news channel, the state president of BJP Yeddyurappa used very cheap language about Chief Minister Siddramaiah by calling him a fool. BJP Parivarthana Yatra is a failure because from the beginning people stopped participating in the Yatra”, said the district minister in-charge Ramanath Rai in a press meet held at the Circuit House here on November 10.

Addressing the mediapersons Ramanath Rai said, “Earlier one of the BJP leader was saying if we throw a dry coconut people were gathering but now even if we give sarees people don’t participate in their programme. Our CM Siddaramaiah is a popular leader and he has fulfilled all the promises which were mentioned in the election manifesto. The Congress government led by CM Siddaramaiah has implemented many schemes which are useful for people from all walks of life. From the Indira Canteen, many people have benefited. The Anila Bhagya scheme will be implemented soon. In BJP many ministers including Yeddyurappa have gone to jail. The BJP has announced Yeddyurappa as their CM candidate. Yeddyurappa is calling Siddramaiah fool but people should think and decide who is a fool?”.

Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader said, “In politics, every party has the right to hold rallies, yatras and programmes. But while organizing a programme in any district or taluk, the organizers should think of unity and brotherhood in the locality. The BJP leader who had gone to jail is calling our CM Siddaramaiah a fool. In politics criticism is common, but criticism should not be personal, hurt the sentiments of people or an individual or political leader. Through their statements, the BJP leaders are creating enmity among the people in particular Taluks and districts. The Parivarthana rally is a failure from day one and the BJP leaders have expressed their disappointment but some of the BJP leaders are venting their frustration against our CM.”

When asked about the statement of BJP not to allow K C Venugopal into the district, Ramanath Rai said, “The opposition has no right to tell who should come to the district to participate in the Congress programme. If the opposition will not allow, the Congress has the capacity to bring our leaders to the district. How is Yeddyurappa coming to the district after going to jail? The Congress party will decide on who will attend our programme and not Yeddyurappa will decide it. K C Venugopal has strengthened the Congress party from every booth level, and the BJP cannot digest the success, so they are putting allegations on K C Venugopal.”

When asked about the Congress leaders joining BJP, U T Khader said, “Many BJP leaders are ready to join the Congress party. Those who are in the Congress they have a good future”.

Ramanath Rai said, “There are rumours that many BJP leaders are ready to join the Congress party. If anyone wants to join the Congress party they should have a secular mindset.”

MLA Moideen Bava, District Congress President Harish Kumar, P V Mohan and others were also present.
