CCB Police Arrest 3 in Adyar Katte Student Assault Case

Mangaluru: The CCB police have arrested three persons in connection with the assault of a youth at Adyar Katte here on July 9.

The arrested have been identified as Nitin Poojary (21) from Farangipet, Pranesh (20) from Adyar Katte and Kishan Poojary (22) from Padil.

According to the police on July 7 At around 4:15 pm, Naufal along with his roommate Mohammed Sajid were on their way back home to Bithupade after having tea in a hotel at Adyar Katte.  On the way, three youth stopped them and requested petrol saying that their bike was not starting. When one of the youth charged at Naufal to attack him, Naufal managed to escape. They then assaulted Sajid and fled from the spot on their two-wheeler.

Injured Sajid was rushed to a hospital in Highland where he is now recovering. Nithin and Pranesh are involved in various crimes and cases have been registered against them in the Mangaluru Rural police station.

The CCB police arrested the accused and recovered the two-wheeler which was used for the crime.
Under the able guidance of Police Commissioner TR Suresh, DCP Law and order Shantharaju, DCP Crime and traffic Sudheer and ACP CCRB Valentine D’Souza the operation was carried out by the CCB inspector Sunil Nayak, PSI Shyam Sunder and team.
