CCB Police arrest youth in Bike Theft case
Mangaluru: The CCB police arrested a youth at Falnir in connection with stealing a bike here on March 5.
The arrested has been identified as Zakir Hussain alias Jackie (21), a resident of Boliyar Bantwal.
According to the police, on March 2, Ibrahim from Boliyar had parked his two-wheeler KA 19 EB 2122, at his friend Siddiq’s compound. But miscreants had stolen the bike from the place it was parked during the night. In this connection, a complaint was filed in the Konaje police station.
On March 5, when CCB Inspecter Sunil Naik and PSI Shyam Sundar were on patrol, they noticed a youth riding the stolen bike near Malabar Gold, Falnir. Police inspector Sunil Naik and PSI Shyam Sundar got into action and took the youth into custody. They also seized the bike worth Rs 25,000 from his possession.
Zakir was handed over to the Konaje police for further investigation. Zakir has been involved in various crimes like peddling ganja and theft and cases have been registered against him in the Konaje and Bantwal police stations.
