Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to Inaugurate two days long World Bunts Convention – 2023 on Oct 28
Udupi: The World Federation of Bunts Association held a press meeting at Hotel White Lotus here on October 25.
The chairman of the World Federation of Bunts Association Aikala Harish Shetty addressing the press meeting said that the two days long World Bunts Convention – 2023 will be held on October 28 and 29 at the Temple Town Udupi.
On October 28, at 9 a.m., a grand procession will start at the Board High School in Udupi. The procession will enter the Ajjarkadu ground via the Municipal Council, Old Diana, Big Bazaar and Ajjarkadu Bhujanga Park. More than 7000 people along with various tableaux will take part in the procession.
Chief Minister Siddarmaiah will inaugurate the Convention at the Ajjarkad Mahathama Gandhi District stadium. Badminton Asian Games Winner Chirag Shetty, Under 19 Junior Champion Ayush Shetty, Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly Mr U.T. Khader, district in-charge minister Mrs Lakshmi Hebbalkar, former minister B. Ramanatha Rai, Dr A.J. Shetty Chairman, A.J. Group Organization, Mr K. Ajith Kumar Rai Maladi, President Bantara Yane Nadava Matru Sangh and Deputy Commissioner Dr K. Vidyakumari will be present.
Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji, of Puttige Math, Sri Vidyadeesha Theertha Swamiji of Palimar Math, Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji of Odiyoor Math, Sri Vishwa Santhosh Bharathi Swamiji of Barkuru, Sri Esha Vittaladasa Swamiji of Kemaru, Sri Rajashekarananda Swamiji of Vajradehi Math will grace the occasion.
Various Sports activities like volleyball, Tug of War, Throwball and Kabaddi will be held on the ground. Various talents of the Bunt community will be felicitated on the occasion.
Film actors Sunil Shetty, Rakshith Shetty, Aishwarya Rai, Shilpa Shetty, Rishab Shetty, Gurukiran, Shivadhwaj, Anushka Shetty, Pooja Hegde, Raj B Shetty, Rupesh B Shetty and others will participate.
On October 29 the cultural programme will be inaugurated by Dr G Parameshwara state Home Minister. Union Road transport minister Nitin Gadkari, Dr Mohan Alva, Mumbai MP Gopal Shetty, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Shobha Karandlaje and others will participate in the programme, he said.
Karnire Vishwanath Shetty, Jayakar Shetty Indrali, Chandrahasa D Shetty, Girish Shetty Thellaru, Dr Roshan Kumar Shetty were present in the press meet.
