CM Pinarayi Vijayan will be given Full Protection in City – Ramanath Rai

Mangaluru: “Pinarayi Vijayan is the chief minister of Kerala and he has the right to visit any state in the country. It is the duty of the particular state to provide protection when the CM visit to other states. CM Pinarayi will be given full protection on February 25. If Amit Shah is willing to come to Mangaluru and someone opposes, what will be the fate? People should not heed to the rumours, on February 25, we have taken all the measures to provide full protection to the people of the district. Since students have their PUC examinations I have informed the bus owners not to support the bandh”, said the district minister in-charge Ramanath Rai in a press meet held at the Circuit house here on February 24.

Addressing the mediapersons Ramanath Rai said, “Those who have gone to jail for corruption are advising us. The BJP leaders who are involved in corruption are alleging the congress party of corruption. The BJP has misused the power and made the IT department to carry out raids on houses of the Congress leaders. But when the Congress was in power we did not misuse any department. The raids were politically motivated IT raids”

When asked about the allegations made by Sri Rama Sene that the convener of the SRS Muthalik has been banned from delivering a speech in DK, why Pinarayi Vijayan is allowed, Rai said, “Muthalik is not a Chief minister, we should not compare Muthalik to Pinarayi Vijayan. Everyone must be knowing about who is delivering inciting speeches and who is not. But no one has the right to stop a Chief minister from visiting Mangaluru.”

Rai also said, “Whoever indulges in spoiling the peace in the district will be severely punished. We have instructed the district administration and the police department to take strict action against the anti-social elements.”

When asked about the damage of the CPM banners, Rai said, “Modi’s banners are still hanging on the roads but if other party banners are erected, many anti-social elements remove them”.

Mayor Harinath, Ibrahim Kodijal and others were also present.
