Commemoration of World Organ Donation Day at Sahyadri
Mangaluru: World Organ Donation Day was observed in Sahyadri Engineering College Campus, Adyar-Mangaluru with an Awareness Talk for the First Year Engineering Students on “Organ Donation” by Ankith S Kumar, Student Counselor. The objective of the awareness talk was to commemorate World Organ Donation day in the campus, to give awareness about organ donation and its uses to the society, to eradicate the myths and misconceptions of organ donations and also encouraging students and faculty to take a pledge to donate organs.
Objectives of Organ Donation Day is: To aware the people about the need of organ donation; To distribute the messages of organ donation all over the country: To remove the hesitations of the people about donating organs; To say a grateful thanks to the donors of organs; and To motivate and encourage more people towards organ donation in their life.
