Complaint to Police over Attack Leads to Revenge Assault!

Mangaluru: Muhammed Kamaluddin (22), a resident of Madani Nagar who runs a beef stall in Mastikatte, had been abused and assaulted by a group of four on June 21. He had filed a complaint at the Ullal police station against ‘Jaldi’ Arfan, Mukhtar, Nissar and Jaffer, all known to him.

Arfan had reportedly tried to hold on Kamaluddin’s neck and tried to stab him with a knife. But the latter had managed to escape the attempt.

The police subsequently arrested the four accused and they had been sent to custody. Three of them came out on bail, while Mukhtar is still in jail.

In an obvious act of revenge for having complained against them, the three barged into Kamaluddin’s stall again on Wednesday afternoon and assaulted him with steel rods, soda bottles etc.

Severely injured, he was taken by his friends to a private hospital in Thokkottu. The police have filed another case against the trio.
